EvolvingWild imagines a society in which other species are beings we know. Wild animals can enter our experience in ways they rarely do now. We can learn how to meet them and develop relationships that are part of ordinary life.
The more fully another being enters our awareness, the harder it becomes to dismiss its experience. That matters in a world where violence toward animals has become remarkably easy to overlook.
EvolvingWild begins with ending harm, but it does not end there. We ask what humanity might gain by reopening this relationship. Animals may become companions in ways we have not yet imagined. Teachers. Guardians. Familiar presences with lives and intelligence of their own.
A society that knows animals this way will treat them differently and may be profoundly changed because of them.
